The Toddler Bed

Almost a year ago, I purchased this toddler bed (foam not included). It came with a toddler table with chairs and  a toy organizer. It’s got Disney Cars all over it. What was I thinking? Unless he wants to, I don’t want my kid to sleep in another bed just yet.

Honestly, it was an impulse buy. Even if the deal was great since I bought it as a set, I feel like I’ve been ripped off that I wanted to return the purchase. But that’s not happening. Besides the fact that Jack Jack loved it, the government does not allow consumers to return the product when the reason is change of mind. Anyways, I could always sell it when he does not want it anymore.

If he grows any more than 6 inches, the bed is going out the door. But he is just so happy to have his own bed. And as a mother, my heart is proud and breaking at the same time for his newfound independence.

We placed the bed beside the familial bed. We were not yet ready for him to move to another room. Just another bed for now.

At bedtime he would lie down on his bed and announce that he would be sleeping. Only to look for me in under 2 minutes and nurse.

He’s only turning 40 months. Tomorrow to be exact. I will wait for him to be ready to have his own room. Preferably something as fun as these rooms.

We’ve got a long way to go. But I’m not complaining.

Why did I buy it again? Oh, right. He loves it.

P.S. Special thanks to my Mom who sew the bed sheet. Jack Jack asked for pillow cases after realizing what my Mom was going to do.
