I hope everyone’s having a great week so far. I haven’t set my mind for my New Year’s resolution yet (Do I really need one?) but as always, I want to be positive. I promise to avoid the bad vibes. Do not worry I will still be your usual lazy sarcasm filled semi-housebroken mommy blogger.
I’ve been asked this many times now since I got my Freestyle and so I thought it is worth to have it’s own post:
I can totally understand how it would be cheaper to buy a Medela Swing and an extra Freestyle Pump Kit. And owning both breast pumps, I believe, gives me that responsibility to check out the chances of making it possible.
Although I couldn’t help but say that it’s brilliant, unfortunately, the answer is no. I guess Medela has thought of this way before you’ve seen the Freestyle. I have taken pictures of the pump motors where you plug the tubes and they would never fit.
I have not handled any other electric breast pump other than the reviewed breast pumps here and the Medela Swing so I am not sure if this can be done with other pumps. If you’ve been able to do something like this, i.e. improve a breast pump by switching parts; please share in the comments below.
